Medullan and Pluto Health Join Forces to Revolutionize Clinical Trials Engagement

In this new partnership, Medullan will combine its best-in-class virtual-care platform with Pluto Health, a patient-driven data tool — to form an innovative decentralized and hybrid clinical trial solution.

Medullan and Pluto Health have announced a strategic collaboration that will deliver a first-ever hybrid and decentralized clinical trials tool for medical researchers. The joint technology leverages Medullan's best-in-class virtual-care platform, VARA, and Pluto Health's patient-driven health data engine to boost participant access and engagement.

According to Medullan, "VARA provides quick and efficient electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePRO) and electronic consent (eConsent) capabilities for simple decentralized and hybrid clinical trial needs. VARA leverages its virtual-care capabilities for more sophisticated use cases and offers the following solutions: patient portal, telehealth, alerts, data integration, dashboards, and remote patient monitoring via wearables and sensors.

Pluto provides participants access to their medical records, lab results, and insurance data that’s clinical trial grade through a single sign-on experience. Within minutes, participants will access Medicare and ~85% of health providers (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Meditech, GE Centricity, Athena Health, and more). With a touch of a button, participants can share 280+ million records with clinicians and researchers in real-time."
